South Yorkshire Country Markets suspend normal operation

19th March 2020

Regretably all five physical markets in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire have decided to suspend their operations as a result of the current COVID-19 situation and resulting government advice.  We pride ourselves on ensuring the safety of both our customers and staff.  Whilst we are confident that our goods are produced with high hygienic standards with most food products being wrapped it was felt that we had to take an extremely cautious approach given that we have a high proportion of both customers and producers who fall inmto the vulnerable group definition.

After Sheffield closes this Saturday 21st March all Markets will remain closed for the foreseeable future.  We will obviously keep the situation under review and will opoen again as soon as possible when it is safe to do so.  We are aware of the impact on our customers and are concernbed many might lose touch with such a loing break forecast at the moment.  However we hope to see people return to our home made goodies when we re-open.

We would like to thank all of our customers in the meantime for their continued loyalty and hope that they all remain safe and healthy in this difficult time.

Details of individual markets is given in the home page.
