Holmfirth and Sheffield Beat the Snow!

Despite the snow both Holmfirth and Sheffield Markets operated last Saturday (19 January) after heavy snow the previous day and evening.

Although both Markets had a deleted set of Producers both were able to open albeit with a reduced range of products and a depleted number of customers.  Producers who made it were in most cases able to walk and take their produce and the customers who still showed up mainly walked it there determined to pick up their weekly home-made treats.

In Sheffield a couple of new customers even found them - one man saying although he had lived in the area for many years he had not been before because on most Saturdays he played golf but he was delighted to find the Market.
