Gill completes 25 years with the Sheffield Market

16th February 2013

Gill Crawshaw has just completed her 25th year as a Producer with Sheffield Country Market.  She is now the Market's longest serving producer.  In recognition of her long service, her colleagues presented her with a couple of Conran designed Sheffield made garden tools.

Come rain or shine, and even the odd blizzard, Gill has rarely missed the Market on Saturdays and is a regular supporter of external markets which the Market attends such as the Nether Edge and Sharrow Vale Farmers Markets.

Gill has produced across all areas of Market activity, she cooks, she crafts fine knitting and contributes from her own garden.  She has seen many Producers come and go during her time and has served the Market in many differing capacities. Having started when her children were small, she has now managed to capture her husband into being the Market Treasurer.

The photograph shows Gill receiving her gifts from Carol Gill, the Market Secretary.
