10 Years at the Doncaster Farmers Market

17th April 2012

Doncaster has the hardiest band of Producers in South Yorkshire.  on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays each month they have a stall at the Farmers Market in Doncaster.  Except when gales thereaten to blow the stalls away, the Market is held in any weather and our Doncaster Producers are there serving their customers.

This May they will celebrate 10 years of being a continuous presence at the Doncaster Farmers Market, they were one of its founder members.

Doncaster Council say of the Farmers Market - "Doncaster Farmers Market is held on Goose Hill next to the Fish Market the first and third Wednesday of every month with up to 20 attractive stalls selling high quality local goods ranging from pork, beef, eggs, cheese, fresh seasonal vegetables, jams and honey, home baked cakes and much, much more.

You'll be surprised what grows locally and is made in and around Doncaster!

Taste the difference between hand made goods and their mass-produced counterparts.  The person who serves you will probably be the person who produced the commodities you are buying."

All this is certainly true of what you can buy at the Country Markets stall.
